Ballard has won another safety accolade!
EHS Today, an organization that covers and reports on all aspects of workplace health and safety, awarded Ballard a place in its 2022 America’s Safest Companies list. To be considered for this honor, a company must apply and demonstrate excellence in several areas: support from leadership and management for environmental, health and safety (EHS) efforts; employee involvement in the EHS process; innovative solutions to safety challenges; injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries; comprehensive training programs; evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process; good communication about the value of safety; and, a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.
On winning this award, Health, Safety and Environmental Director, Rebekah Troxell, reflects “Ballard applied for this award because we know the work our team puts into safety. This award is not about the Safety Team, though. It’s about the day-to-day efforts of the whole Ballard team. We all desire a safe workplace and to go home to our loved ones intact, and we all work to that end, together. This also extends to our clients and all subcontractors who are part of the project. We endeavor to keep everyone safe, and this honor was awarded because every employee is actively engaging in a culture that demands safe operations.”
